Welcome! I am Pistos. This blog is about religion, computing, arts and life.

In this blog, I will be sharing my views and perspectives on religion, ethics, morality, faith and spiritual life. I’ll never tell you “you must believe”, but I will be quite open in talking about what I believe and why I believe it.

I am a computer programmer by profession and hobby, so I will occasionally treat programming topics, as well. My major personal programming accomplishments to date include Diakonos, a text editor; Mathetes, a conversation engine (a talking robot); and a couple of IRC games: Wordbattle and IRCSpaceWars. All are written in Ruby.

I will treat various other topics, including poetry, music, language, and science. I also have a collection of recordings I have made of myself playing classical piano music.

I hope you find my writing to be of interest to you, and that you enjoy your visits. Both RSS feeds and e-mail subscription are available. If I’m online, you can chat with me live! I hang out on the Freenode IRC network in the #mathetes channel.
